Bears Love Drafting Wide Receivers Who Can’t Stay on the Field

Marquess Wilson apparently re-injured his foot in practice, which is the least surprising thing that I’ve ever written. Between this guy and Kevin White, saying Bears wide receivers are made of glass is a damn compliment. I’m sick of it. I’m ready to drive up to Halas Hall and wrap these guys in foam like the kid from Little Giants.

It’s more the Bears last, I don’t know, twenty years that causes me to wake up vomiting in the middle of the night. Wilson and White are just easy targets, but I feel like I have the right to take my anger out on their stupid bodies. Wilson, possibly the greatest seventh round wide receiver to never be on the field, has been healthy for about five minutes in his entire professional career. Kevin White is even more depressing because he’s a first round pick. A first round pick coming from a new regime that was supposed to solve all our Phil Emery problems. Yeah, I know he was declared out for the season like three months ago but Wilson just put me over the edge.

Who gets hurt in practice? That either means you’re soft as jello or you’re trying way too hard. You’re a professional football player. You’re only supposed to try hard on Sundays and with your personal trainer. That’s it. If you get hurt in practice from anything other than a team brawl, you’re a putz.
