David Ross Will Be an Analyst For ESPN

We said during the Cubs’ run to a World Series Championship that David Ross is pretty much a made man. Whether it’d be working any job he wants as a part of Theo Epstein’s staff or going on some solo venture, we knew he wasn’t done with baseball. We were right.

Ross is joining ESPN as a baseball analyst, just a couple weeks after committing to work in the front office with Theo as a special assistant to baseball operations. So much for enjoying retirement.

It’s unclear how Ross will balance both jobs while having a family life, but this points signs to his position under Theo being more of a consulting gig. I’m sure he could join the Cubs full time if he wanted to. Hell, I’m half convinced he’s being groomed to replace Maddon as their next manager.
