I’m not sure how David Wright expects to play third base this year.
Wright has shoulder soreness and is headed to NY. He has been diagnosed with an impingement.

Last time we saw Wright he was bouncing throws in to first base. All the announcers acknowledged “well, if it works…” as if it’s okay that Wright can’t make the throw across the diamond. Now he has even more shoulder problems and might even miss opening day.
At least the Mets planned for this. They extended Neil Walker and kept Jose Reyes as infield depth. Reyes filled in for Wright last season as he was dealing with a neck injury (that he’s still rehabbing from). Someone needs to give David a first baseman’s mitt and call it a day.
